Kristine Haugen Pedersen and Sandra Skarsvåg from Norway attended at “ExpLoDE 2011”. It was a three day workshop that gathered 80 young people from all over Barents. The days of joined work, communication and fun ended up in a musical performance at one of the Rovaniemi theatre halls. The workshop consisted of five smaller working groups: Art and Fashion, Dance, Music, Media, Stage Art. Each group contributed to the show making in their own way – sound production, stage decoration, movie making, costumes, installations and dancing. During this workshop we learned a great deal about teamwork, we got to meet a lot of new people, and experienced some of the challenges of working with youth from all over the Barents region. We have different lives, like different things, speak different languages, represent different cultures, but we all live in one region. Barents region!
The event is organized by the Barents Regional Youth Council with support of the Norwegian Barents Secretariat.
