Barents Spektakel 2012 - concert with MUMIY TROLL from Russia

  • PDF

Mumiy TrollThis concert was filmed during Barents Spektakel festival in Kirkenes, Norway in February 2012. Two bands were playing in Fjellhallen - a huge cave in the rock which used to be a bombshelter during the second world war. The bands were very well recieved by the mixed Norwegian-Russian audience. There were a lot of music lovers from the Russian city of Murmansk who had  traveled 230 kilometers to Kirkenes just to attend this show.

“Rockapops” superstars, Mumiy Troll changed not only the music, but also the clothes, hairstyles and behavior of Russian young people in the 2000s. In the 80s they were banned by Communist Party as «one of the most socially dangerous bands in the world». Nowadays they are voted «Best Band of the Millennium» in Russia. It is a delightful fusion of lush, driving pop melodies, groovy post-punk, edgy guitar rock, drollery and debauch!  To make a long story short – from Russia with rock!

Ilya Lagutenko – vocal, guitars, lyrics, music, Yuri Tsaler – guitar, keyboards, Eugene Zvidionny – bass, Oleg Pungin – drums.
